11 months already!
I'm not sure whether it is more difficult to comprehend that Sophie is already 11 months old, or that just a year ago we didn't yet know her. She has such a big personality for a little girl. Sophie adores her big brother and is quite determined to catch up to him. She loves to take hold of our fingers and walk all around the house. I don't think it will be much longer before she doesn't need us to help her walk. She can already stand on her own quite sturdily and only really needs to hold on with one hand when she is walking.
Her favourite game right now is undoubtably "peek-a-boo" which she loves to play anywhere, anytime. In the van she will do it with her reflection in the mirror if we haven't caught on to the fact that she is playing yet. Sophie also really likes playing with the pretend food, especially the ones we have that have velcro parts which go on and off. She loves to "peel" this orange in particular.
As for real food, despite still only having two teeth, she is game for just about anything. She goes wild for oranges, watermelon and apple slices, but also really likes mashed potatoes, squash, beets & noodles.
Sophie is pretty sure she can talk, but we are only just starting to understand her. She is saying "Daddy" quite clearly and "Dan-yah" for Daniel and a lot of gibbering for everything else. She sometimes says, "Mum-mum-mum" but I'm not sure if she is referring to me or her rice crackers.
Our Sophie also loves music and dancing. She has gotten to come in to the end parts of Daniel's music class a few times and will do her funny little dance & grin whenever she hears music.
I guess the next big Sophie post will be for her 1st birthday! Wow!
