4 months old!

Daniel was just a day past 4 months old when I took these pics of him and, of course, Dumbo.

Hanging out

Here are a few cute candids from a couple of days ago.

Daniel's Baptism

We celebrated Daniel's baptism today. He was very alert during most of the service & seemed to want to visit with his buddy Nathan in the pew behind us at times. Sitting right at the front meant that the choir was close enough for him to entertain and be entertained by. He does enjoy being sung to! He finally took a little nap at the end of the service (his part having been played) and then enjoyed visiting with everyone who came over for tea & lunch afterwards. Daniel is exhausted now and sleeping peacefully.

Welcome to 2009?

2009 has had a bit of a rough start for us. You may have noticed that I haven't updated the blog since before Christmas. Sorry about that. Within a day or two of us getting back from up north Keith came down with pnuemonia & I've been solo on the child care duty, snow removal & general house upkeep. I've been busy! He's finally starting to feel a little better, and the doctor assures us he should be out of the contagious stage so he's staying home to try to recover now. He needs to geat that lung capacity back so that he can join his brass quintet on Sunday. Daniel's baptism will be taking place during the 10am service at St. Augustine's for any of you who are interested in coming.

As you can see from the picture, we've got heaps of snow here with no real end in sight. It makes for quite an adventure getting in and out of the driveway, not to mention driving around town. If you come for coffee after the baptism, it would probably be easiest to park in the school parking lot just down the street- it's always plowed (which is more than I can promise for my street).

We did enjoy our time over the holidays with my parents & had the chance to introduce Daniel to his extended family and vice versa. He travelled very well- far better than the cats ever did (now that's a whole other story). I'll post some Christmas pics in the next couple of days hopefully.
